Really confident people never believe they’ll win or prevail at each and every venture or goal they pursue. They don’t jubilantly celebrate success or become overly downtrodden when they fail to achieve their desired outcomes. In fact, they don’t even use the terms “success” or “failure,” opting instead for “achievement” or “not realizing what they set out to accomplish.”
Believing in their abilities fuels the desire and enthusiasm to keep getting better and better, knowing that their “wins” will come; and if not, they’ll seek coaching or consultation to get back on or stay on track.
More than anything else, true confidence strengthens the capacity to take life in stride and readily accept its ups and downs.
